Blood pressure monitor
Kučera, Michal ; Musil, Vladislav (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and realization of a prototype of non-invasive blood pressure monitor based on the principle of Korotkoff sound detection. The design compares this method of measuring blood pressure with other methods. This design of an automated measuring system, which is controlled by a microprocessor, utilizes the scanning of Korotkoff sounds with an electret microphone placed in the cuff. The microphone signal is then amplified, filtered and adjusted for evaluation. The prototype uses processor-controlled inflation by the compressor and deflation of the cuff by a valve that is open without applied voltage.
Oscillometric blood pressure measurement
Benešová, Lenka ; Janoušek, Oto (referee) ; Šikner, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the implementation of an oscillometric blood pressure measurement method in LabVIEW. It presents the research of blood pressure measurement methods focusing on an oscillometric method. It describes the study of different methods of measuring the systolic and diastolic blood pressure from an oscillometric curve and the implementation of two of these methods in LabVIEW. The accuracy of the implementation was verified with an auscultation technique on 37 measured subjects.
Blood presure measurement in LabVIEW
Pelikán, Ondřej ; Štohanzlová, Petra (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
The main purpose of this semestral project is to design and realize a product that allows to acquire the Korotkoff’s sounds and measure blood pressure by using a computer. The paper gives a proposal of the preamplifier for acquisition of Korotkoff’s sounds, wiring of product and designed software for data acquisition. Document also contains theoretical informations about options of blood pressure measuring.
System for Long-Term Measurement of Patient Pressure
Petrovič, Michal ; Rydlo, Štěpán (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to create an algorithm to model the peak flux of patients at cardiology clinics to improve the handling time per patient by the doctors. The focus of the project was to improve the retrieval, processing and displaying of patient's blood pressure results to a doctor. To tackle this problem, a computer program was written that automatically downloads the relevant blood pressure data, analyses it and presents it to the attending doctor. The developed application includes the possibility to monitor the blood pressure over a selected time interval, interpreting the results and recognize arrhythmia. The proposed solution simplifies the patient's life, decreases the waiting time for the attending doctor and thus increases his efficiency.
Measurement of the blood pressure using LabView
Slezák, Pavel ; Chmelař, Milan (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of system for blood pressure measurement. The system consists of microphone, amplifier and real time acquisition program using LabView. For determining systolic and diastolic blood pressure origin and ending of Korotkov's sounds is used. The algorithm for this detection is based on bandpass filtering and thresholding also implemented in LabView. As a result of this work, the measured sounds are presented and whole system is described in detail. In conclusion advantages and disadvantages of method are resumed.
Blood presure measurement in LabVIEW
Čermák, Marek ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
The aim of this work is to design and create a product for automated measurement of blood pressure by auscultatory method by using a computer. Thesis contains a description of the blood pressure, also there are explained ways of its monitoring, basic rules for its measurement and the methods by which it is possible to measure blood pressure. In the practical part is described measuring system serving to measuring blood pressure by auscultatory method using a computer. There is also shown a design and realization of microphone preamplifier. The work also includes a description of a computer program created in LabVIEW, which is used to measure by using a previously described system. In the end is evaluated the accuracy of the whole meter.

Analysis of care in patients at risk for arterial hypertension in pharmacy I.
Gregor, Stanislav ; Malý, Josef (advisor) ; Matoulková, Petra (referee)
Analysis of care in patiens at risk for arterial hypertension in pharmacy I. Author: Stanislav Gregor1 Tutor: Josef Malý1 Consultant: Stanislav Havlíček2 1 Department of Social and Clinical Pharmacy, Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové 2 Czech Chamber of Pharmacists, Prague Introduction: Arterial hypertension represents a serious health problem. Despite of the fact that great attention is paid to an early diagnosis and therapy of arterial hypertension, it remains compensated insufficiently in a number of patients. Objectives: The aim of the thesis was to analyse the possibilities of pharmaceutical care provided to patients who are at risk of arterial hypertension. Methodology: Blood pressure was measured from the beginning of October till December 2012 in a public pharmacy in Moravská Třebová. The blood pressure was measured by a pharmacist by means of a validated and calibrated tonometer. Other data were collected from a directed interview with the pharmacy client. The data were evaluated in Microsoft Excel 2007 and processed by means of the frequency analysis. A retrospective analysis of drug problems was further performed in patients who have been using pharmacotherapy or food supplements. Results: The data were obtained from 196 pharmacy clients (31 % of men and...
Analysis of care in patients at risk for arterial hypertension in pharmacy II.
Panáčková, Kateřina ; Malý, Josef (advisor) ; Marešová, Helena (referee)
Analysis of care in patients at risk for arterial hypertension in pharmacy II. Author: Kateřina Panáčková Tutor: PharmDr. Josef Malý, Ph.D.1 Consultant: PharmDr. Stanislav Havlíček2 1 Department of Social and Clinical Pharmacy, Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové 2 Pharmacy Luna, Plzeň Introduction: Arterial hypertension is one of the most common illnesses in the Czech Republic. Not only this should be the reason for proper health education and early detection of clients endangered by this illness. Objectives: The objective of the thesis was to perform and evaluate consultancy activities in a pharmacy focusing on clients with a risk of arterial hypertension or with already diagnosed arterial hypertension. Methodology: Collection of data took place in a public pharmacy in Česká Lípa between 1 May 2013 and 27 June 2014. Measuring of blood pressure was a part of controlled interview with clients of the pharmacy. Following data was recorded into a form: social-demographic characteristics of the respondend, his/her attitude towards measuring blood pressure in the pharmacy, incidence of risk factors of arterial hypertension, respectively atherosclerosis and other illnesses in the anamnesis, medication including nutrition supplements, results of own measurings and proposed...
